African swine fever epidemic status and prevention and control strategy

The prevention and control of African swine fever is inseparable from "controlling the source of infection, cutting off the transmission route and protecting susceptible animals". Among them, "control of pig movement" is mainly used to control the source of infection; Physical disinfection and chemical disinfection are mainly used to cut off transmission routes; And "bioisolation" is one of the best ways to protect susceptible animals from outside the farm. ASF virus is mainly transmitted by biological vectors, which include humans, birds, mosquitoes and flies, and rodents. Controlling the movement of biological vectors and blocking the entry of biological vectors from outside the field is an important way to control the spread of African swine fever virus, and it is also an important measure to cut off the transmission route. Controlling the mutual movement of biological vectors within and outside the farm is called "biological isolation", and a lot of work has been done on the farm in terms of people, exotic animals (rats, cats, dogs) and mosquitoes, as follows:

(1) Establish multi-level decontamination
According to the distance between the cleaning point and the pig farm production area, the cleaning point can be divided into 1-4 levels, and each pig breeding enterprise can set different levels according to actual needs, but at least three levels (level 2, 3, 4) should be set.

(2) Implement unified meal distribution
Meals are also a way of transmission of swine diseases. Since the outbreak of African swine fever, many pig farms have paid great attention to the food problems of employees and established a central kitchen, cutting off the spread of African swine fever through meals. The central kitchen is generally about 3km away from the pig farm, responsible for the supply of meals for the personnel in the farm, the ingredients are purchased by special personnel, and the meals are divided after they are prepared. The central kitchen is generally composed of food inlets, warehouses, cold storage, kitchens, chefs, chefs' dormitories, changing rooms, meal exits and other parts, and vehicle disinfection points and personnel disinfection channels are set up at the entrance of ingredients and food exits.
(3) Strengthen the management of doormen
The entrance of the pig farm is an important line of defense for the biology of the pig farm, so it is necessary to allocate special personnel to implement the doorman system and effectively manage the personnel, materials, Feed Additives Premix and so on entering the market. Formulate a doorman system, incorporate the implementation of the doorman system into performance appraisals, and urge doormen to implement prevention and control measures. All admission personnel, materials, feed additives, etc. must be washed and disinfected in accordance with the instructions of the doorman before entering the corresponding area according to the established route, and the established route must not be changed at will.

(4) Establish harmless treatment areas
The harmless treatment area should be built in the production area of the pig farm in the downwind direction all year round, and the wastes that need harmless treatment generated in the production process of the pig farm mainly include sick and dead pigs, fetal clothing, feces, sewage, waste gas, etc. According to the physical and chemical characteristics of waste, supporting corresponding facilities and equipment, such as manure compost fermentation treatment area, biogas digester, settling tank, solid-liquid separator, rainwater sewage diversion pipeline, incinerator, high-temperature biological fermentation, corpse tank, etc.
(5) Refine the introduction process
In the production process of the farm, the introduction of high-quality breeding pigs is an important measure for the further development of the farm. At present, the introduction of breeding pigs generally requires the following processes: (1) Develop an introduction plan. (2) Prepare for introduction. (3) Plan the introduction route. (4) Arrange the introduction vehicle. (5) Strengthen transportation management. (6) Arrange someone to pick up pigs. (7) Do a good job of isolation and domestication.
